TRANSFER STUDENTS (GRADES 10-12)
Thursday, Aug. 8 - 9-11 a.m.
Report to Little Theater of the Performing Arts Center (Room 4200) at 9 a.m. Transfer students attend Transfer Student Orientation only. Members of the Student Volunteer Program will be at this orientation to assist new students to find classrooms, to answer questions, etc. These volunteers will assist transfer students throughout the first week of school, introducing them to new students, meeting them for lunch, etc.
Friday, Aug. 9 - 8:30 a.m.-3:25 p.m.
Freshmen will receive their schedule and student ID at orientation. Freshmen will receive detailed orientation information.
• No bus service will be available during orientation for sophomores, juniors and seniors.
• Bus service will be provided for freshman orientation.
Orientation Details for Returning Students
• Orientation begins in the Patriot Lobby by Room 2104.
• Students must have their school-issued iPad and paid registration receipt to receive their student ID. Students will acknowledge and provide an electronic signature indicating receipt of an electronic copy of the Guidebook.

If your ID photo was taken in the spring, pick up your new ID. If your photo was not taken in the spring, you will have your ID photo taken.
Schedule/Textbook Pick Up
Class schedules can be picked up in the Upper Forum. Textbooks can be picked up in the Lower Sports Center lobby. To get their schedule or textbooks, returning students must have:
• Their current student ID
• Signed electronically for the Guidebook
• Have a dean’s stamp on their receipt
Other Important Information
Once students attend the mandatory orientation in August, the only schedule change allowed is adding or dropping a course. Schedule changes are permitted only if space is available. Remember: Having eighth period free is a senior privilege, and not available to underclassmen.

During the summer months, Student Services is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon. Typically, a school counselor is available during office hours to work with students and families.
Seniors: VIP (Visual Image Photography) will mail postcards confirming the date and time of their sitting. Contact VIP at www.vipis.com or 847-499-9300 with questions, or to schedule or reschedule an appointment.
Juniors and Sophomores: Yearbook photographs will be taken during their orientation day from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Parents can order and prepay online using this link, or students can bring the VIP envelope that was mailed to their home, along with payment, to orientation. These photos are in addition to, and different from, their ID photos.
Freshmen: Those enrolled in Physical Education or Dance 1 will have their yearbook photos taken during class on Monday, Aug. 12. Band and Dance 2, 3 or 4 students (and any other freshmen not enrolled in PE) will have their yearbook photos taken Friday, Aug. 16. Parents can order and prepay online using this link, or students can bring the VIP envelope that was mailed to their home, along with payment, to orientation. Senior Parking Stickers
Seniors may pick up their parking stickers, with their primary vehicle, in parking lot D after their orientation has been completed. Students must have their paid registration receipt to receive their sticker.
