StreetFest Wellness Week
It is important — now more than ever — to ensure that all individuals, adults and teens alike, recognize that mental health and wellness are essential components to every individual’s overall health and well-being.
When we work together to break the stigmas that surround mental health, we strive for all people to realize that mental health is just as important as physical health and that we all face challenges in our lives that can impact our mental health.
To this end, we are excited to announce Stevenson’s very first StreetFest Wellness Week, running from Aug. 23 - 28, where many SHS clubs, including NHS, Peer Helpers, FIRE, LHSA and BASS, will collaborate with the entire student body and staff in order to spread the message of the importance of overall wellness and taking care of one’s mental health. (Please note that while lunch events are limited to SHS students, evening events are open to the community.)
The week will culminate on Saturday, Aug. 28 with our annual StreetFest event that will have fireworks, live stage performances, interactive games, food trucks and activities from various Stevenson clubs and community agencies that all promote and support wellness! There is a suggested $10 donation for Saturday's event and we will be fundraising throughout the month of August to benefit the wellness-based agencies of Elyssa’s Mission, Rainbows for All Children, Shelter Inc. and Loving without Limits. Thank you for your support!
