Color Guard and Winter Guard

Stevenson Color Guard

Color Guard and Winter Guard are dance-based performing groups that incorporate spinning equipment, dancing and performing into one production. Color Guard focuses on performing alongside the Marching Patriots and is open to anyone. Color Guard performs at half time football games, basketball games and parades. The JV Winter Guard is open to all new members and to be on Varsity Winter Guard you must be a part of Color Guard the season prior. Winter Guard performs at shows around the midwest and goes to WGI World Championships.

Practices vary depending on the season. Color Guard and JV Winter Guard meet two times a week on average. Varsity Winter Guard meets three to four times a week on average.

Students must follow all Stevenson policies and be in good academic standing. Members must also be able to be physically active and participate in a full practice.

Color guard clinics and enrollment begins in May and lastsĀ until June. Winter Guard auditions are held in mid to late September. No experience needed for JV Winter Guard. Contact a sponsor for more information and to learn about meeting times/location, or visit Student Activities with questions.
