Stevenson High School Business Professionals of America

Business Professionals of America (BPA) is the premier CTSO (Career and Technical Student Organization) for students pursuing careers in business management, information technology, finance, office administration and other related career fields. With 45,000 members in over 1,800 chapters across 25 states and Puerto Rico, BPA supports business and information technology educators by offering co-curricular exercises based on national standards.

Commitment

In order to compete, students must commit to attending area, state, and national competitions for the entire time that the competitions run. Meetings will be held during various activity periods throughout the year. Attendance at these meetings is mandatory if you wish to participate and compete.

Requirements

Students must be enrolled in a business class during the school year in order to compete. Business courses include: Introduction to Business, Business Applications 1 & 2, Accounting 1 & 2, Advanced Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Business Law, Personal Finance, Entrepreneurial Tactics, and Investment Management. In addition to taking a business class, students must be able to commit to each competition and stay for the entire time that the competitions run.
