Steven Frost

Steve Frost, a 31-year resident of Buffalo Grove, is the Stevenson Board of Education President, having served in that role the past 4 years, and has been on the school board since 2000.

Steve is a retired attorney/CPA with over 35 years of experience in financial services, the last 15 of which were spent representing state pension plans and institutional investors investing in private equity and hedge funds. During the “Great Recession,” he commuted to Washington DC where he worked as a senior counsel in the Office of Tax Policy at the US Department of Treasury drafting legislation and issuing national tax guidance.

Public service is important to Steve. Though he is retired, he continues to draft national legislation as a Uniform Law Commissioner from Illinois and Illinois business legislation as a member of the Illinois Business Law Institute. He is also on the Chicago Regional Board of the Anti-Defamation League. His passion for education is not limited to Stevenson; he is also an Adjunct Professor at Notre Dame Law School in South Bend.

Steve and his wife, Wendy, have two children who are both Stevenson graduates. He enjoys golf, scuba, and traveling in the Frost family RV. He has a BS in Business/Marketing and a BA in Communication Theory from the University of Colorado, and an MS in Accountancy with Distinction and a JD with Honors from DePaul University.
