Wellness Week | StreetFest
It is important — now more than ever — to ensure that all individuals, adults and teens alike, recognize that mental health and wellness are essential components to every individual’s overall health and well-being.
When we work together to break the stigmas that surround mental health, we strive for all people to realize that mental health is just as important as physical health and that we all face challenges in our lives that can impact our mental health.
To this end, we are excited to announce Stevenson’s second annual Wellness Week, running from Sept. 12 - 16, where Peer Helpers will host daily lunchtime activities in order to spread the message of the importance of overall wellness and taking care of one’s mental health. (Please note that while daytime Wellness Week events are limited to SHS students, evening StreetFest activities are open to the community.)
The week will culminate on Saturday, Sept. 17 with our annual StreetFest event, led by the National Honor Society, that will have fireworks, live stage performances, interactive games, food trucks and activities from various Stevenson clubs and community agencies that all promote and support wellness!
Tickets for Saturday's event are $10 and will benefit the wellness-based agencies of Shelter Inc. and Family Focus. Thank you for your support!
