ILC - Library

About the ILC

In order to realize our mission of serving the students and staff of Stevenson High School our goals include: 

1. To provide resources that support the curriculum and that stimulate intellectual curiosity.
2. To provide instruction in information literacy, striving for independent use and knowledge of available resources.
3. To work with faculty to develop resource-based curriculum assignments and specific lessons.

Hours of Operation:

The Upper ILC - Library is open from 7:00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. on school days. 

Visiting the ILC - Students

Passes: Students may visit the ILC during a study hall with a pass. Passes must be obtained by one of your academic teachers, not your study hall teacher. Stamp your pass in the time clock as you enter and leave the ILC. Once you are in the ILC on a pass, you must remain in the ILC. If you need to leave the facility for any reason, please speak to an adult. 

Library Card/Student ID: Your student ID serves as your library card for checking out all materials and technologies. 

Overdue or Lost Materials, and Fines

Students having overdue or lost materials, or unpaid fines will not be permitted to check out any additional materials until they have taken care of this obligation.

• Overdue Notices are emailed directly to student email accounts on a weekly basis. After several notices, a letter and bill is sent home to parents or guardians.
• Lost or Damaged Materials: Students will be charged the replacement cost of lost or damaged items.

Student Guidelines

Respect your peers’ learning 

1. Students must be working to use the ILC
2. Keep your voice at a respectful noise level
3. Respect everyone’s right to accomplish study and work goals
4. Turn off cell phone ringers

Snack and drink carefully 

1. Food and covered drinks are allowed
2. Place all trash in receptacles
3. Please, no cafeteria trays, greasy foods, or food that spills easily
4. Beverages and containers must have covers

Respect your ILC facility

1. Return text books, laptops, and iPads to designated areas
2. One student per seat
3. Keep feet off furniture
4. Report broken or missing items
5. Leave all furniture in the proper location; chairs may not be moved
6. Keep the facility clean

Reserve breakout rooms

1. Doors remain open
2. Rooms are available on a reserved basis only
3. Media rooms are to be used for collaborative projects or class work
