Let's Talk About Your Future
A No Homework Night on Oct. 21, 2020
Course selection for the 2021-22 school year will begin in early November for sophomores, late November for freshmen and in January for juniors.
To make course selection more meaningful, Stevenson will be holding its fifth annual Let's Talk About Your Future Night on Wednesday, Oct. 21. This will be a no-homework night for students and is intended as a night for students to talk to their parents and guardians about future plans and courses at Stevenson they might consider to support those plans. This video further explains the evening:
To participate, please gather the 2021-22 Coursebook which was sent to each Patriot household last week and either print out the gameboard or view the game pictured below on a computer screen.
To play, simply advance squares after responding to each question. Students are encouraged to submit a video clip, photo or short paragraph showing how this discussion night inspired your future course choices to SHSMyFuture@d125.org for a chance to win a $25 Amazon card. Please know that these submissions may be shared on social media.
We encourage participants to use the Coursebook, which can also be viewed below, to locate potential courses that would fit with possible future plans. If it's helpful, students can make notes on the Four-Year Course Plan Sheet.
Please note that counselors will be having individual course selection appointments with students to further discuss possible course offerings, interests, and future plans. Additional information about the course selection process will be available on this page after Oct. 24.
