Wednesday, Sept. 23-26, 2021: Fall Play
A Midsummer Night's Dream - A Radically Inclusive Shakespeare Comedy
You’re invited to a Royal Wedding!
Duchess Theseus’s marriage to Hippolyta is only four days away, and the guests are arriving at the Prince Royale Resort to ready for the wedding of the century. Join us for this classic Shakespeare comedy of order and disorder reimagined at a tropical resort. Witness wedding guests, Hermia and Lysander, eloping through the woods, followed closely by Demetrius and Helena. Behold Fairy King Oberon and trickster Puck playing tricks on Queen Titania, as the lovers get trapped in their web of comedy. Laugh as Petra Quince and her eclectic team of rude mechanics ready the festivities while preparing a play to perform at the wedding. End the night celebrating with a festive triple wedding!
The performance will take place in a tent on the SHS Athletic fields, with audiences limited to 100 per performance to ensure proper distancing can occur. This will be a ticketed event. Tickets will be linked from the theatre website and public tickets are available on Sept. 3. We request that all audience members wear masks, and encourage you to dress up in tropical and/or wedding attire if desired. The play runs approximately 90 minutes with no intermission, and is appropriate for audiences of all ages.
