Student Well-Being

Stevenson students hanging out at the Patriot Wellness Center

At Stevenson High School, we believe student well-being is integral to achieving our mission of Success for Every Student and developing our students to mirror Stevenson’s Portrait of a Graduate. Research makes plainly clear that students who have developing or well developed wellness competencies do better as students and human beings.

To achieve this, our initiatives are thoughtfully designed to foster a supportive environment where students can develop the skills to live with purpose, lead with empathy and learn with resilience throughout high school and well into their future.

Central to our work is the integration of social-emotional learning (SEL) and equity, whose core tenets align naturally to foster a greater sense of self- and social awareness in students. We believe these principles naturally align with our vision and Portrait of a Graduate and will help students more confidently navigate an increasingly diverse and complex society.
