HOSA Chapter, Individual Members Honored

Several students were honored during the HOSA (Future Health Professionals) International Leadership Conference held virtually June 22-27. Fifty-two members of Stevenson’s HOSA chapter participated, and were among 8,310 competitors who competed in 77 health science events.

In addition to individual awards, Stevenson’s HOSA chapter was recognized for its National Service Project, in which it raised $5,322.92 for the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation. The fundraising amount was the third-highest among all HOSA chapters during the 2019-20 school year.

Health Science Events

  • Annie Thomas (Class of 2023) - fourth place, Nutrition

Leadership Events

  • Bella Kim (Class of 2021) - fourth place, Extemporaneous Health Poster
  • Nikhila Paleati (Class of 2020) - 10th place, Healthy Lifestyle. She also received the HOSA-Future Health Professionals $2,000 Scholarship.

  • Neha Pinni (Class of 2022) - fourth place, Career Development
  • Bella Kim (Class of 2021) - fifth place, Biology
  • Sanjana Nallagatla (Class of 2021)- eighth place, Bioengineering

  • Trisha Gannu (2022), Mindy Huang (2021) and Preeti Kamma (2021) - received the Barbara James Service Award - Bronze level
