Lincolnshire, IL — Stevenson High School – District 125 is proud to announce that it has been named the #1 best school district in America, according to Niche, a digital school search platform.
“We are proud and humbled to be recognized as the nation’s leading school district. This achievement is a testament to our entire Stevenson community, including our teachers, staff, students and families, and their commitment to excellence in teaching and learning,” says Dr. Eric Twadell, PhD, Superintendent of Stevenson High School.
Niche’s ranking of best school districts relies on a rigorous set of data, including reported metrics and survey responses from students and parents, on academics, teaching quality, diversity, college prep, health/safety, student activities and athletics. Stevenson High School scored an A+ in every category, with the exception of diversity, in which the school district scored a B+.
Earlier this year, Stevenson High School recruited veteran educator Leviis Haney as the school’s first-ever director of equity, diversity and inclusion. In this newly created role, Haney will oversee the implementation of policies designed to cultivate a culture of diversity and inclusion throughout the school.
“While we are very proud to be named the top school district in the nation, we will continue to be relentless in pursuing our mission of Success for Every Student,” Dr. Twadell says.
