Stevenson High School and its transportation provider, First Student, will officially make a bus tracking and parent communications application available beginning Monday, Sept. 16.
The FirstView app is available for iOS and Android. Visit www.firstviewapp.com to download the app. Read these instructions to register using Stevenson’s school code, which is 4NMF.
The FirstView app allows for:
Live Tracking: The FirstView map screen shows the live location and direction of a student’s bus, its stop schedule for the current day, and timestamps for school arrivals and departures. Parents and guardians will be able to know when their student’s bus arrives at SHS in the morning, and when it is leaving in the afternoon.
Predictive Stop Arrival Times: Analyzing route and real-time GPS data, the app determines an estimated time of arrival to each stop along a route.
Custom Alerts and Messages: Users can set up push or email notifications alerting them when their student's bus is a chosen distance or number of minutes away from the destination.
Multi-Stop View: Buses for all students can be tracked with FirstView. Using individual colors for each student, every selected stop appears on the map simultaneously for easy viewing.
Additional User Notifications: Connect up to three additional email accounts to receive email alerts.
The FirstView app is available in English, Spanish and French.
