Breakthrough Under-Level Athlete
Marissa Dicker
The JV sophomore goalie was called up to varsity at the last minute and helped the girls field hockey team win its opening state playoff game. The team won in double overtime and shootouts, and she blocked each opposing shot in the shootout.

Breakthrough Varsity Athlete
Amanda Holsen
The sophomore led the girls volleyball team during the regular season with 50 aces and 417 kills. Her 417 kills were the second-most in Stevenson history.

Best Under-Level Game Performance
Colin Schmitke
The freshman had the night of his life during one Thursday night football game. He made a one-handed catch under tight coverage, pivoted and spun out of a tackle, taking the ball in for a 66-yard touchdown catch. Colin’s catch was No. 5 on ESPN’s Top 10 Plays of the Day.

Best Varsity Game Performance
Kelly Dong
Walking down the 18th hole on the second day of the state championship, the junior was about to finish the lowest round of her career. After a 230-yard drive, she was sitting 130 yards from the green. Taking out an 8-iron, she hit a shot that struck an electrical wire hanging over the fairway. She was saved by an automatic replay rule. Her next shot rolled right over the cup and made an easy put for par. She shot a 73 on the day, which was her best round by five strokes.

Outstanding Manager
Shelby Schor and Mackenzie Ong
Beset by injuries during most of the girls field hockey season, the pair stayed with their junior varsity A team, remained committed to the program, and worked during games to help with statistics, the camera and clock, and team morale. Their positive attitudes and helpful actions were a huge help to the team.

Best Moment in Sports
Emily Duan
The sophomore was in the last group playing in the first round of the girls golf state tournament. With a large crowd sitting on the hill overlooking the 18th green, Emily calmly sank a 50-foot putt amid cheers and roars from the throng.

Super Fan

This parent brought an outstanding level of energy to each of the boys soccer games. He led chants during the playoff games and gave life to the home stands.
