Restraint, Time Out, and Isolated Time Out Plan
Per the requirements outlined in 105 ILCS 5/2-3.130 and Public Act 102-0339, each school district must create an oversight team that consists of, but is not limited to, teachers, paraprofessionals, school service personnel, and administrators to develop district-specific plans that include procedures to reduce and eventually eliminate the use of physical restraint, time out, and isolated time out (RTO).
In June 2022, the school board reviewed the approved RTO plan. District 125 has had zero incidents of physical restraint, time out, and isolated time out for the 2022-2023 school year. Our plan aims to maintain zero incidents through professional learning, individualized positive behavior support plans, oversight through the committee, and administrative supervision and support. The plan is linked here. If you would like to read more information about Restraint, Time Out, and Isolated Time Out, please click here.
