Special Schedule October 24 Due to Testing

October 18, 2012

Stevenson High School will follow a special schedule on Wednesday, October 24 due to testing of all freshmen, sophomores and juniors. Testing for all three grade levels begins at 8 a.m. Seniors will begin their day when classes start for grades 9, 10 and 12 at 10:30 a.m.

Juniors will take a free practice ACT exam. Because of the ACT exam’s length, juniors will miss their first period class. The exam will end at 11:05 and students will report to second hour classes.

Sophomores will take the PLAN test, which helps students assess their readiness for the ACT exam. The EXPLORE test will be administered to freshmen.

The EXPLORE test is aligned with the ACT and the PLAN to build readiness for high school and college. Freshmen will be taking the EXPLORE test in West Building classrooms, while sophomores will have the PLAN test in the East Building.

Testing locations will be posted outside the Gold Student Services Office (Room 2412), the East Student Services Office (Room 6064) and Room 2400.

Freshmen and sophomores will complete their testing around 10 a.m. Classes will start for freshmen, sophomores and seniors at 10:30 a.m. The school will follow a late-arrival schedule for the remainder of the day.

Students should bring No. 2 pencils to the PLAN and EXPLORE tests. TI-89, TI-92 and TI-Inspire-CAS calculators are not allowed to be used during the mathematics portion of the PLAN test.
