SHS Alum Named Girls Lacrosse Coach
October 16, 2012

Sarah Walker, a 2007 Stevenson High School graduate, has been named the new head girls lacrosse coach of her alma mater. She served as junior varsity coach during the 2012 season, and also has coached several age-group teams within the Lakeshore Lacrosse program since 2007.
Walker takes over a program that had its finest season in 2012. The Patriots finished the year with a 14-6 record, including a seven-game winning streak that ended in the Illinois High School Women’s Lacrosse Association sectional championship contest.
Walker was a two-time all-conference player at Stevenson, and was a starter on the varsity for all four years of high school. She also was a two-time all-conference performer and co-captain at the University of Missouri, from which she graduated in 2011.
Walker remains active as a player, serving as co-captain of the Lakeshore Lacrosse Women’s Lacrosse Club, and also is a coach and referee for the Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association.
