Girls Softball vs. Mundelein, 4/23/12

Stevenson 12, Mundelein 10 (11 inn.): Morgan Manka drilled a two-run home run to right-center field in the top of the 11^th inning for the visiting Patriots. Manka’s homer drove in Ali Castriano, who went 4-for-6 on the day and had three runs batted in. Castriano also made 10 putouts in center field. Manka had three hits in the game, as did Lexi Yonkovic, who also homered. Stevenson’s 15-hit attack included doubles from Castriano, Lara Horwitz, Cailin Rubenstein, Dana Morgan and Nicole Alesi. Winning pitcher Sam Feder went the distance, striking out seven.
