Galaxy Evolution Explorer
A site devoted to the GALEX orbiting telescope, which shows images from galaxies both near and far.

NatureServe
A nonprofit conservation organization provides scientific data and information about conservation, endangered species, sustainable forestry plus two environmental encyclopedias. These provide facts on the plants, animals and ecosystems of the United States, Canada and Latin America, including in-depth classification, maps, histories and much more.

Ocean Planet An exhibition of ocean and marine science with excellent information and graphics, from the Smithsonian Institution.

Renewable Energy Explore the basic sources of solar, wind, water, and biomass energy. Contains hands-on construction activities and links to more information, from the Pembina Institute of Canada.

The Wilderness Society This non-profit agency, devoted to protecting the American wilderness, provides scientific reports, policy briefs, maps, fact sheets, guides and other documents related to conservation.

The World's Biomes Highlights the aquatic, desert, forest, grassland and tundra biomes and covers temperature, precipitation, flora, and fauna.

Bioscience Education Net  A National Science Digital Library for teaching and learning in the biological sciences is a collaborative effort of 11 different science organizations.
