G.I.V.E. was founded in 1991 as a volunteer community service organization for all Stevenson High School students.
G.I.V.E.'s purpose is to provide every student at Stevenson an opportunity to actively participate in the needs of their community. Through
G.I.V.E., students can play with young children in child care centers, interact with children with developmental disabilities, play wheelchair basketball at a children's hospital, socialize with the elderly in nursing homes and participate in many other service activities throughout the school year.

Students travel to Shriners Hospital in Chicago to play Wheelchair Basketball
and do arts and crafts with the patients at the hospital
