Eligibility Requirements
To be an F.M.P. Student Mentor you must be a Junior or Senior and complete an application process.
Time Commitment
A full lunch period 4 days every week August through June. In addition, all FMPS must attend Leadership Training in June and in August.
Procedure for Joining
Applications are available in December.
Description
The Freshman Mentor Program is a comprehensive transition program that provides each freshman with a support group that consists of F.M.P. Student Mentors, a faculty advisor, and a school counselor. Student Mentors are "trusted guides" to freshmen. They provide an ongoing orientation process that enables freshmen to become familiar with policies, procedures, programs, and traditions at Stevenson.
