AP Exam, Summer School Registration
Advanced Placement examination registration begins Tuesday. You can find out details about AP exams, and sign up, at our AP exam web page. Meanwhile, summer school registration is underway. Students can sign up for courses as well as camps. Visit the summer school web page for more information.
Odyssey Information
Our biannual fine arts festival, Odyssey, will take place Tuesday and Wednesday. School begins at 10:15 a.m. each day. Buses will run on the late arrival schedule. Classes will end at 3:25 p.m., as usual. During Odyssey, the campus is closed, and students are not allowed to leave campus during the day for lunch. Students should plan on purchasing lunch in the cafeteria or bringing it from home. Click here to see the schedule for each day.
Turnabout Ticket Sales Ending
Turnabout ticket sales end Tuesday. The price is the same as last year, $20. All tickets will be sold through the Patriot Superstore. Details >>

Patriot Plaudits
The varsity girls gymnastics team won its 18th consecutive IHSA regional championship, and will compete in the Niles North Sectional on Thursday. ... Four members of the debate team qualified for the national Tournament of Champions competition at the University of Kentucky. ... Several student-athletes have announced the colleges and universities at which they will continue their playing careers. ... Two JV Scholastic Bowl teams won 18 of their 20 matches at the Wheaton North tournament, with the sophomore unit going 10-0. ... The varsity cheerleading team qualified for this weekend’s IHSA state finals in Bloomington. ... The winning creation in the first-semester Introduction to Business class’ "Burger Challenge" is now on the menu at Tom & Eddie’s restaurant. ... The boys diving team won the Hinsdale Invitational. ... Artwork by eight SHS alumnae that adorn the hallways at school will be featured at a Buffalo Grove business this month. ... Two Stevenson graduates are involved with new stage productions in February. Mindy Upin is co-producer and co-star of "The Ratio of Mindsey to Kelpin," which runs from February 10-12 in Chicago. Cheryl Krugel-Lee orchestrated all the songs and scene changes for a new off-Broadway musical, "Honestly Abe," which opened February 2 in New York.
- Showcase 2012 will take the stage in the PAC on March 9-10! Auditions are complete. We will have 81 acts, 18 emcees, and 313 students participating! Be sure to check out our Facebook page: Showcase 2012 – Stevenson High School. All of the most current news can be found there! NEW this year – Showcase 2012 T-shirts go on pre-sale February 8 through February 22 in the Superstore. Ticket sales begin February 27 in the Wood Commons. With such a big show, we are likely to sell out, so be sure to get your tickets early!
- "COME SAIL AWAY" with the SHS Class of 2012 aboard the Odyssey, the biggest boat on Navy Pier on Wednesday, June 6. Seniors will board buses at Stevenson starting at 12:30 p.m.; the buses will leave at 1 p.m. and return at approximately 7 p.m. This includes a two-hour cruise along Lake Michigan, full lunch buffet, dessert station, unlimited soda, DJ entertainment, and boarding photo for each student! If you have not already purchased a ticket, you can still purchase in the Patriot Superstore for $40. Ticket purchase deadline is March 2. Check our Senior Class Party website for more details!

- Kid-friendly rocker Ralph Covert, who has been called a cross between Elvis Presley and Elvis Costello by the New York Times, closes the Foundation’s "Spotlight on Stevenson" community concert series on Sunday, February 19. The "Ralph’s World" concert has a 2 p.m. start time, and tickets are only $15 for adults and $10 for children. Click here for details.
