Scholarship Scoops
Scholarship opportunities received in the College/Career Center are posted on Naviance. Students may access them by way of their Naviance accounts under Scholarship List. Since paper applications have declined to the point of extinction, the bulk of the scholarships listed in Naviance provide links for students to access additional information, applications, etc.
Periodically, a college, university or a philanthropic fund sends a scholarship that requires a nomination from the high school. The pool of students vying for a nomination often exceeds the number that can be submitted. In those instances, Stevenson’s Scholarship Committee evaluates applications anonymously to determine a nominee(s).

SENIORS--We need your help!
Every year, we gather information about all the scholarship offers our graduating seniors have received. We tally an aggregrate figure of all scholarship dollars awarded as well as list every scholarship that a senior has accepted in our graduation program. [A number of our seniors receive scholarships from multiple colleges; while we include every offer in our aggregate data, we only list scholarships that students are accepting in our graduation program.]
In the past, we have relied on our students to provide this information when our counselors conduct a senior survey of guidance services. In an effort to gather more accurate data, this year we are asking seniors to report their scholarship offers directly to the College/Career Center as they are received. And we need your help!
As seniors receive notice of scholarships they have been awarded, please notify us in the College/Career Center. You can do so by either dropping off a copy of the scholarship award letter to the CCC or by sending an email of the offer to Mrs. Biemeret at:
sbiemeret@d125.org. In late April/early May we will ask seniors which college they will be attending in the fall, and all scholarship offers that have been accepted will be published in the graduation program.
Seniors, as you receive any and all scholarship offers, please let the CCC know. We appreciate your assistance with our efforts to gather the most accurate scholarship data possible.
