Youth and Government (Legislative)

Eligibility Requirements
Members must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors.

Time Commitment
1 hour per week.
August - March.

Meets
Wednesdays 6:30-8:00 pm.
Room 2906.

Procedure For Joining
Students wishing to join may sign up with the sponsor.  An introductory meeting is held in late August.

Description
Students create and debate legislative bills to be presented at regional meetings with other schools. The program culminates in Springfield in March with a state-wide convention and legislative program where the students debate and vote on bills on the floor of the Illinois House and Senate.

Membership Limit
30 Students.
