WAES Radio Station

Eligibility Requirements
Genuine interest in learning about all aspects of operating an FCC-licensed working radio station. 

Time Commitment
Members must be available to staff/attend a minimum of one 90 minute  shift/scheduled program segment per week either before or after school.

Meets
Every school day from 7:00-8:00 a.m. and
3:30-9:30 p.m.  September - May. Room 1108.

Procedure For Joining
Contact Mr. Enright or Mr. Carlson or a WAES-FM student officer in the radio station (Wood Commons-West Building).  Prospective members must attend a WAES-FM Rules and Regulations Seminar, a studio equipment training session, and successfully pass a test.

Description
Students involved in the operation and maintenance of WAES-FM will learn the functions of a radio station including script writing, production techniques/editing, programming, promotion, on-air talent expertise, and equipment operation.

Membership Limit
60 students.
