Stand For The Silent
Eligibility Requirements
Stand For The Silent is always open to new members of any grade at Stevenson High School. Members are encouraged to attend meetings and activities regularly, however, we do not make it mandatory to attend all events.
Time Commitment
1-2 hours per month with occasional additional events.
September - May.
Meets
Thursdays after school from 3:45-4:15 in Room 2121.
Procedure For Joining
New members are always welcome. Simply attend a meeting.
Description
Stand For The Silent addresses the problem of school bullying, whether it is emotional, physical, or even cyber-bullying. With the help of Kirk Smalley and Students Across America, we are uniting to inspire, educate, develop empathetic awareness, and stop bullying all together. The program is student led and is committed to making a change in our community. Our goal is to stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves by speaking up and raising awareness of bullying. Being a voice for this issue provides hope that it will someday cease to exist.
