Peer Tutors

Eligibility Requirements
Peer Tutors is open to junior and senior students who are in advanced or honors level classes.  World language tutors also require a teacher recommendation.

Time Commitment
1 hour per week tutoring and 1 meeting per month.
August - June.

Meets
Second Wednesdays of the month after school in Room 4400.

Procedure For Joining
Students may join by application and by attending an orientation session at the beginning of the semester.

Description
Peer Tutors volunteer to tutor in Math or World Languages in the Learning Center for 1 hour per week.  Tutoring hours may be used to satisfy NHS or 300 Club service hour requirements.  Executive Board members will also earn Leadership hours.  By working with peers, tutors who have already completed core courses will strengthen their problem solving skills while making social connections and enhancing their ability to work collaboratively.

None.
