Peer Helpers is a program that provides support for other Stevenson students in a variety of ways. It is run by a group of upperclassmen that undergo an extensive training consisting of leadership skills, team building activities, communication skills and a variety of topics affecting teenagers. The program offers support for students by providing peer counseling, presentations, community outreach, school wide campaigns and peaceful conflict resolution. In addition, Peer Helpers is responsible for staffing the Student Lounge, which is a safe place that all students can go if they want to talk, relax, get resources or just eat their lunch. Peer Helpers also meet with freshman during their advisories to help with presentations on Social Emotional Learning.
