The UGive How-To Guide
www.UGive.org

What is UGIVE?
UGIVE is an online portal through which Stevenson students can sign up for service opportunities. The website is also used to keep track of the hours earned by each student from participating in these service opportunities.

Logging In
The website is UGive.org. Log-in information should have been sent to you sometime over the summer to your first class email. Your First Class log-in and password is included on the sheet containing your schedule and locker information. If you are at school, the first class application will be located on the dock of the computer.

If you are home, go on Stevenson webpage at www.d125.org. There should be a golden column on the right side of the website with the options parents, students, community, alumni, and staff. Click on students. On the page it directs you to, scroll down until you see another column on the right side with the options First Class, UGIVE, Intramurals, Student Guidebook, etc. Click on First Class and on the page that you are directed to choose a way to access First Class from your location. If you can’t find your log-in and password, go to UGive.org and click on "forgot password" in the upper right hand corner.  Type in your Stevenson High School (First Class) email address.  The program will email you a new password. Your login in will be your Stevenson High School (First Class) email address.

Signing Up For An Opportunity
Once you have logged onto UGive.org, locate the tabs near the top of the page labeled ‘home’, ‘my school’, ‘opportunities’, etc. Click on ‘opportunities’ and scroll through the endless list of service opportunities awaiting you. In addition, you can search for the opportunity that you’re looking for in the search box located on the top right hand side of the page. If you would like to search for opportunities by date, click on the tab labeled ‘My School’, scroll down until you see a mini calendar on the right hand side of the page, and click on your desired date. You must read the summary for each event.  Some events are open to all Stevenson students and others require membership to a specific club such as Interact Club or NHS.  It is your responsibility to read the requirements before you sign up to avoid problems. You can read the summary by clicking on the ‘view details’ link located above the orange box labeled ‘sign up’ on the left side of every event name. After reading all the details and making sure you are qualified to attend the event, click on the orange box that says ‘Sign Up’. Follow the procedure on the following page. Make sure to remember to attend the event. A list of events that you have signed up for will be displayed on the ‘My Opportunities’ link located below the search bar.

Accessing Your Hours
Below the search box, your name should be displayed in orange. Click on the arrow next to your name. In the drop down menu that should appear, click print service resume. A new page should appear with a list of events you have attended and the hours gained from each event. A grand total number of your hours will be located at the very bottom.
