Description
The Latino Club is designated to instill a sense of community and achievement among Latino students at Adlai E. Stevenson High School. The objective of the weekly meetings is to enrich the lives of the Latino students through cultural events, academic competitions and service opportunities focusing on the Latino community. This engaging club prepares students academically and socially for college through various activities celebrating Latino heritage. Those who compete in the Latino College Bowl will prepare weekly by watching documentaries about Mexican-American history that contain all the questions that will be asked at the Latino College Bowl. Students will take notes, make flashcards and play games in order to review the College Bowl information.
Membership Limit
There is no limit to the amount of students who wish to participate in the Latino Club. However, there are only 7 spots on the Varsity Latino College Bowl team and 7 spots on the Junior Varsity team.
