Stevenson's four Jefferson Award student leaders (Kayla Reinherz, Eric Bersin, Colby Sharlin, and Karen Klass) traveled to IIT for the Students In Action Chicago Spring Leadership Training and Competition.  The four students presented the community service efforts of Stevenson via PowerPoint presentation.  Stevenson won a Gold Banner (gold, sliver, and bronze were awarded) based on performance related to the program's 7 tactical deliverables and was selected as the Chicago Recipient for Outstanding Service by a High School.  As the winning high school, Stevenson will be sending students to Washington, D.C. in June to attend the national Jefferson Awards conference and present Stevenson for consideration for the National Outstanding Service by a High School Award.
