Eligibility Requirements
Open to all students (female or male) who are interested in performing precision routines; interpreting music through dance and flag/rifle work. Auditions will be held with clinics prior for students to learn the audition requirements. (Dance combination and flag combination).
Time Commitment
Marching Season members (August- October)
Prior to new school year, week long camp in June
Rehearsals - 6 hours per week total
1 evening rehearsal with the Marching Band
1 after school technique rehearsal
Performance required at all 5 home football games
Performance required at Labor Day parade
Dual members (August - March)
Rehearsals - At least 6 hours per week
Weekend competitions and continuous practices October- March
Procedure For Joining
Clinic workshops and auditions are held in the Spring for the following year.
*Potential auditions for winter guard later in the year
Description
Incorporating flag and rifle movement with dance. Strong dance foundation will be supported by weekly practices emphasizing dance technique. During the fall, they will be performing with the marching band, serving as a form of interpretation for the music. During winter season, they will continue to express music through dance and flag/rifle work, and perform at contests. This is a fantastic outlet for people who love to dance, express emotion and perform!
