Baroque Ensemble

Eligibility Requirements
Students must be in either concert orchestra and/or Patriot Orchestra.  Students performing harpsichord must also be enrolled in any SHS music class.  All players must audition.

Time Commitment
This ensemble will meet 4 times per month and additional rehearsals may be needed prior to a performance.  Rehearsals begin the first week of September and will meet until the end of May.
September - May.

Meets
Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:00-8:00 a.m. and Fridays from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Room 2200.

Procedure For Joining
Audition sign-up sheets will be posted in 2200 at the beginning of each school year. 

Description

This group is a unique performance ensemble that focuses on performance practices of the baroque and classical periods.  All instruments are period instruments. Students  perform for regular school functions, community events, IHSA solo & ensemble contest, etc.
