Did You Miss Our Presentation at Incoming Freshman Parent Night?
Our band members are an impressive collection of Stevenson's brightest, most involved students. They are involved in every sport offered at Stevenson, they are involved in most of Stevenson's 124 clubs–and many are leaders in these other activities. As a group, their grades and test scores far outpace the Stevenson average. This year, 7 Band students scored perfect 36's on their ACT's (out of 15 school-wide); 11 of Stevenon's 34 National Merit Commended Students are in Band. It is said that we mirror the people we associate with. Membership in the Stevenson Bands puts you with the finest students at Stevenson. Read more about them and the Bands in this powerpoint.

All 5 concert bands work together at this time to prepare our Fall, 2013 Halftime Show.
Your attendance is VERY IMPORTANT.
All band members will receive marching season music, band camp information, and a detailed calendar of events in a mailing that will be sent out by the end of June each year.
For this past season's materials, click on the
Band Camp 2012 link for more details.
Instrument switch-over scholarships available.
The Stevenson Band & Color Guard Parents Organization helps us develop well-balanced instrumentation in the Stevenson Bands by offering Scholarships for Private Lessons to students who switch to under-staffed instruments. You must be registered for Stevenson Bands to qualify [lessons can start in the summer before your Freshman year, or during high school].
If you'd like to switch from Flute, Saxophone or Percussion to Bassoon or French Horn, you may qualify.
The scholarship pays for your first 7 private lessons on the new instrument (instrument is provided, too!).
In exchange, you agree to continue with private lessons if you stay on the new instrument.
