2013 Summer School/PREP Camp Catalog:
Stevenson High School District 125 offers a two-session academic summer school program. Summer school is an extension of the school's regular academic program designed to provide students with opportunities to gain academic credit, receive enrichment or remediation, and explore new interests. Students take one course during a summer school session. Incoming freshmen are strongly encouraged to consider enrolling in summer school, as it facilitates the adjustment and transition to high school. About 70% of incoming freshmen enroll in summer school annually.
Summer school dates for 2013 are June 10 - July 3 (first session) and July 8 - August 1 (second session). Classes run from 7:45 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. on school days. During the first session, this first two weeks will follow the traditional Monday-Thursday schedule, while the final two weeks will have modified schedules due to the July 4 holiday. All four weeks of the second session will follow the Monday-Thursday model. Here is the week-by-week schedule:
