Freshman Orientation Day
Monday, August 22, 2011
Freshman Orientation Day assists students in making the transition to Stevenson High School. Freshmen are asked to ride the bus on their orientation day. (Bus schedules will be posted on this page). Ninth-graders will meet their
Freshman Mentor Program student mentors (FMPs) on their bus; the mentors will be ready to answer questions even before the bus arrives at Stevenson. Students who walk to school will be greeted by FMPs as they enter SHS.
7:00-8:00 A.M.
When they arrive at the school, freshmen will report directly to the Sports Center
to receive their class schedules, locker information and identification cards (if their photo was taken during summer school).
7:30-8:45 A.M.
Freshmen will report to their Advisory classroom to meet with their faculty advisor, FMP student mentors and guidance counselor. Students will receive their textbooks and
Student Guidebook in Advisory.
9:00-10:15 A.M.
Welcome Class of 2015 assembly in the Performing Arts Center.
Featuring Eddie Slowikowski.
10:15-11:45 A.M.

The last class will be dismissed at 3:25 p.m. Students should report to their bus after the end of eighth period; go to the area where the bus dropped them off in the morning.
