Site Visits for Educators

Please complete the attached Visitation Registration Form and return it with the appropriate payment so that we can confirm your reservation. Please note that reservations are made on a first come, first served basis. Registrations are due at least two weeks prior to each site visit date. The earlier you complete your reservation the more likely it is that we can accommodate you. Please do not make airfare or hotel reservations without written confirmation confirming your scheduled date and number of participants.
 
Site visits begin promptly at 7:15 A.M.

Cost
The fee for a site visit is $40 per person and includes a box lunch.  Make your checks payable to: Adlai E. Stevenson High School Foundation.  Please send one check for your entire group when you submit your Visitation Registration Form.  The fee is non-refundable.  Purchase orders and credit cards are not accepted.

Dress
Dress is professional/casual.  Stevenson is a very large school.  Wear comfortable walking shoes!

Preparation
Information and pertinent documents about Adlai E. Stevenson High School will be provided on a CD given to each visiting group. In addition, documents such as the Vision Statement, Board Policy Manual, Student Handbook, the current Course Book, Illinois State Report Card, Annual School Profiles, Student Achievement Data, the current Student Survey and the Cycle of Success (formerly Pyramid of Strategies) can be downloaded from our website. In addition, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses for faculty, staff, and departments are available.

Travel and Accommodations
All Travel and accommodation arrangements are your responsibility.

Simply call 1-800-440-8830 and refer to the Stevenson High School rate plan. Tickets will be issued electronically and sent via e-mail or fax.

Although Stevenson High School does not provide transportation to and from airports or motels, a map is included for your use. Most groups choose to arrive in Lincolnshire the afternoon or evening before their site visit. If you are flying to Chicago, we recommend you fly into O'Hare International Airport. We are about half an hour north of O'Hare. Your second choice should be Mitchell Airport in Milwaukee. We are about 45 minutes south of Mitchell. Midway Airport should be avoided if at all possible. It is at least two hours from Stevenson. Your site visit is over at the beginning of rush hour. So, adding that to the time, it can take as long as three and a half hours to get to Midway Airport.
