Principal Janet Gonzalez

Janet Gonzalez became the first female principal in Stevenson’s 44-year history when she was selected to replace Dr. Douglas Domeracki in 2006. Gonzalez joined Stevenson in 1999 as assistant principal for curriculum and instruction, and served in that capacity until becoming interim principal in December 2005 when Domeracki left SHS to become principal of Warren Township High School. Prior to joining Stevenson, Gonzalez oversaw the K-12 science curriculum for Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205, then became assistant principal at York High School in Elmhurst. Gonzalez will retire at the end of the 2009-10 school year. Assistant Principal for Teaching and Learning Dr. John Carter will be her successor.
