Principal Troy Gobble

Troy Gobble was approved as the 11th principal in Stevenson High School history on June 18, 2012.
Gobble joined Stevenson as assistant principal for teaching and learning for the 2010-11 school year. He served in a similar capacity at Riverside Brookfield High School in 2009-10, and spent a total of nine years at the school. Gobble was chairman of the science department prior to becoming assistant principal, also taught physics. In 2006, Gobble earned the Outstanding Illinois High School Physics Teacher Award from the Illinois section of the American Association of Physics Teachers. He began his teaching career at Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park in 1992.
Gobble earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Science Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has master’s degrees from Eastern Illinois University (Natural Science-Physics) and Benedictine University (Educational Administration), and is completing his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership through DePaul University.
