Test takers can pay the fee online at the link above, or may pay with cash or check by bringing a copy of their confirmation page to Suzanne Paloian in Room 2414 or Janet Gotrik in Room 6064.
The PSAT is a optional, multiple-choice assessment of verbal, mathematics and writing skills. There are several benefits to taking the PSAT. Top performing juniors nationally may be eligible for money through National Merit, National Achievement, or National Hispanic Scholarship funds.
The PSAT also provides practice for the SAT Reasoning Test through personalized feedback. Taking the SAT Reasoning Test later in the junior year can be used as a standardized test in college applications, and may be especially helpful for students wanting to pursue admission to highly competitive colleges or universities.
Testing will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, October 20 in the East Building. Students should arrive by 7:45 with a photo ID, No. 2 pencils and a calculator. The week before the test, rosters with room locations will be posted outside Room 2400, Gold Student Services (Room 2412) and East Student Services (Room 6064). Testing will conclude by 11:30 a.m.
Cell phones are prohibited in the testing area, and the school does not supply calculators or batteries.
